10 Accounts You Need to Follow Right Now for a More Creative Instagram Feed!

Updated: Nov 20, 2020

There are several reasons to update your Instagram feed, such as: diversifying the accounts you follow, unfollowing accounts that no longer spark joy, or looking to change things up with new faces and places. Starting in March 2020 at the beginning of lock downs in North Carolina, I went on an Instagram 'unfollowing spree'. The decision to clean-sweep the accounts I followed was to add more creative inspiration and positivity during the quarantine season. I highly recommend this process to everyone.

This list is comprised of my current favorites, are sure to brighten up your screen time, and range from arts and artists, to small businesses owners, to animal conservationists and world travelers. Comment below if you have any account recommendations for me!

This artist makes the dreamiest paper reliefs and prints! I love watching the process and seeing the beautiful results.

The watercolor artist, studiofurlough (Alexis Drapanas, @adrapanas), started her online shop and studio at the beginning of COVID-19 shut downs in Washington, D.C.. 10% of her purchases are donated to fund hourly-paid hospitality workers.

This artist is a tie-dye extraordinaire! More than just tie-dye, her photos will fill your feed with bright colors, fun photo backgrounds, and inspiring outfits. Don't hesitate to reach out about commissioning a tie-dye piece! The hot pink jacket and denim shorts she's made are my personal favorites.

Botanical artist, Sophie Parker, will electrify your feed with tropical plant art, fun checkers, and a new look at a garden aesthetic.

Tricia is doing some amazing things right now with her modeling and photography (@lunasolistophotography). She was a Quarterfinalist for a 2020 MAXIM Magazine cover!

The only 'blue check' account on this list is Lara Pia Baroncini because her aesthetic is right up my alley. Every photo she shares gives off major Italian summer romance vibes.

Not only will this add colorful fruits and food art to your day, it will add colorful language as well! My favorite is the one that says "fuck" with flowers around it! PLUS $10 of every piece goes towards supporting Activation Residency. Click here for the Etsy page.

'Colorful' is literally in her branding! As the queen of supporting local and small businesses, her disco-jungle & maximalist aesthetic will not disappoint!

Head of Western Cape Cheetah Conservation, photographer, and traveler. Get an up close look at animal conservation, in a better (and more ethical) way than what Tiger King showed.

This small business owner creates whimsical and custom event stationary. Since the company's start in January 2020, it has taken off, and was recently featured on Magnolia Rouge. Whether or not you're planning a wedding or private event, her almost daily posts will spark inspiration for dreamy stationary.
